چکیده

In this paper, the impact of mobility of both primary and secondary users on the performance of cognitive radio mobile cellular networks with real-time traffic is investigated. To this end, an algebraic set of mathematical expressions for the handed-off arrival rate, and new call blocking, forced termination, and interruption probabilities of secondary users are derived under the assumption that cell dwell time and unencumbered service time are independent exponentially distributed random variables. Numerical results allow us to quantify the extent by which the different system performance metrics depends on the mobility factor of both primary and secondary users. Numerical results are verified by an extensive set of (discrete-event based) simulation results for a variety of system parameters and configurations. Key-Words: Cognitive radio mobile cellular networks, performance analysis, forced termination probability.
